Position Summary

We're looking for a Senior Accountant with strong QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience to lead monthly close processes, and document workflows.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has a passion for clean books, and thrives on helping others learn and grow.

You'll work with multiple clients, review staff work, resolve accounting and QuickBooks issues, and communicate directly with clients and CPAs. If you're a problem-solver who values accuracy and clarity, this fully remote position might be for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Close out clients' books monthly using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Establish and document monthly close processes (written + video documentation)
• Train staff on monthly close procedures using GAAP best practices
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate ledgers for multiple clients
• Review staff's monthly close work prior to client delivery
• Resolve complex accounting and QBO issues in a timely manner
• Communicate with clients via email, phone, Slack, and video calls
• Collaborate with clients' CPAs on tax-related items throughout the year
• Conduct monthly financial reviews with clients via video
• Provide support and training for new team members on firm processes
• Suggest and implement tech tools to improve client back-office efficiency
• Prepare and file sales tax returns and year-end 1099s
• Meet weekly with your manager via video to report on deliverables and scope changes
• Respond to client and internal communications promptly throughout the day
• Contribute to a culture of accuracy, initiative, and support

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a remote team

Experience

• 5+ years of Full cycle Accounting experience
• 5+ years of hands-on QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience
• Previous experience in a CPA firm or similar accounting environment

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• QuickBooks Online Certified (required)

Technical Tools

• QuickBooks Online and Desktop
• NetSuite (preferred but not required)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting apps and tools
